As profiled recently by a CBC report, TD Canada Trust has engaged in unscrupulous , if not downright illegal, activity against it's customers. This includes covertly switching their account plans so customers will be charged $29 extra per month. Many TD employees, shedding crocodile tears, have admitted to this outrageous policy, saying that they were pressured into making the account plan switches for fear of job loss.
But this actually is only the tip of the iceberg. Over the years TD Canada Trust has covertly, and ROUTINELY, added extra fees to it's customers' monthly statements, including check re-orders. Confronted, they refuse to acknowledge these padded fees, rehashing that Judy Collins song line "It's Not Nice'! They brush off concerned customers who call them, with ' call us later ( never)' tactics. To justify not reimbursing padded fees, they employ the old, dubious 'not refunding after 30 days' policy, a rule from which they exempt themselves. This constitutes a license to CHEAT customers. To prevent thousands of elderly TD pensioners from being overcharged, please sign this request to TD to stop cheating customers with padded fees, and to refund any and all previously charged fees.
