HOW DOES IT WORK?

Launch your claim

Your collective action plan

PLAN!

Making a claim is the first step towards developing an action plan. How will you draw attention to your cause? What pressure tactics will you use? Do you plan on contacting the media? Be original but realistic, concise, and clear.

YOUR ACTION PLAN

Keep in mind that different types of action call for different behaviors. Some people prefer signing petitions, while others choose to demonstrate. No tactic is universally better than the rest. If your claim started from a suggested claim, other users have had a chance to vote on your tactics and suggest others.

Here’s how to develop your plan:

Action plan
  • Establish a strategy.

How will you successfully carry out your actions? This field is required and you have a maximum of 500 characters.

Pétition
  • Choose your actions.

You can enter between one and three actions, choosing from:

  • Predefined actions (petition, demonstration, boycott, letter campaign);
  • Actions suggested by other users (in the case of a suggested claim);
  • A personalized action.

You can see the number of votes for each of these possibilities.

Create a petition.

When you share your claim through an online petition, you can encourage thousands of people to get on board and sign it, helping you reach the concerned parties quickly. The more signatures you obtain, the more pressure you put on the decision-makers!

Letter campaigns are a powerful pressure tactic, because although they seem similar to petitions, their content is more direct.
